Pastor Brown

Biography about Rev. Dr. Nicholas Brown
Pastor of the New Zion Missionary Baptist Church

Rev. Dr. Nicholas Brown is a life long resident of the Westside of Chicago. Pastor Brown begins his Christian journey at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of the late Rev. E.J. Hatch. Pastor Brown begins to grow in his walk with the Lord and God elevated him to the Ministry under the leadership of Pastor F.W. Hargrett. Not only did he accept Christ there, and begin this journey of Ministry, he also met and married his beautiful and supportive wife Patricia Brown for which they have been married for 22 years. She has been and is still being a tremendous help in his Ministry.
Pastor Brown was called to the Ministry by God, in May of 1987. In June of 1987 he was licensed by the Church to go forward and preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  God has abundantly blessed him over these past 24 years of Preaching and 18 years of Pastoring, in which he has faithfully and devotedly served in this position.
In September of 2010, God in his providential wisdom saw fit to order Pastor Brown’s steps, as he became the newly elected Pastor of the New Zion Missionary Baptist Church. Which is affectionately known as The Downtown Church with the Up Home Spirit? His favorite scripture is Psalms 46:1 which states, God is our refuge and our strength a very present help in a time of trouble. Through the Aid of the Holy Spirit God has blessed his Ministry as a Preacher, Teacher, and a Pastor, to do the work of the Kingdom of God.
Pastor Brown has the blessed privilege of traveling to the land of Israel, as well as Rome, Greece, and Turkey. Walking in the very land that Jesus walked in, going to some of the various places in which the Apostles Paul, Peter, and John visited and preached about. By visiting these biblical destinations, this trip has made the bible come alive in the eyesight of this believer.

Pastor Brown and Sis. BrownPastor Brown is the President of Partnership Ministries Inc. He has also authored a handout book entitled A Journey through the Black Biblical World. He is a Biblical Instructor in Theology and Biblical Studies at United Faith Christian Institute and Bible College, a satellite school of Aspen Christian College, located in Aspen Colorado. In which he instructs adult students in an accelerated degree program in Urban Ministry. He has earned Doctorate in Theology and a Masters of Art in Christian Ministry, Masters of Theology, as well a Bachelors of Arts in Organizational Management. Our prayer is that God will continue to enlarge his territory, and to shower God’s favor upon his Wife, his Ministry, his Life, and the Church which God his given him this prominent and elevated Pastoral Assignment.

The New Zion Missionary Baptist Church, affectionately called, “The Downtown Church With The Uphome Spirit,” is centrally located between the great West and South sides of Chicago; about a mile-and-a half west of the great Lake Michigan, and about a mile due south of the United Center.
